Verify
After downloading the archive parts you can verify that they are genuine and were not corrupted during download, using either SHA256 hashes or PGP signatures.
SHA256 hashes
To verify with SHA256 hashes on Linux:
- Download the hash file.
- Move the hash file to the same directory as the archive parts.
- Open a terminal in this directory.
- Enter the command sha256sum --check notraceproject-2025-05.7z.sha256
- Wait a few seconds. If the verification is successful, you should see 6 lines, all ending with “OK”.
PGP signatures
To verify with PGP signatures, use our PGP key and the PGP signatures of the archive parts.
Browse
To browse the archive:
- Extract “notraceproject-2025-05.7z.001”. This will automatically extract all the parts.
- In the extracted directory, you will find a file named “index.html”. Open this file in a web browser.
